Website analytics privacy
This notice explains analytics on scan.minex.gg. Updated 18 September 2026.
Cookieless PostHog analytics
MineX uses PostHog Cloud EU, hosted in Frankfurt, to understand public page visits, navigation and clicks, browser errors, and loading performance. This cookieless setup does not store PostHog visitor identifiers in cookies or browser storage, create player profiles, or send your MineX account ID for identification.
PostHog counts visitors using a server-side hash based on the project, a daily changing salt, IP address, browser user agent and hostname. The IP address is used to compute the hash and then stripped before further transformations. This does not recognize the same visitor reliably across days or devices. On public pages PostHog may also record a replay of the session (page layout, clicks, scrolling and console errors) to help us find broken or confusing screens; anything you type is masked, request and response contents are not recorded, admin, account, consent and checkout screens are never recorded, and recordings are deleted after 30 days.
Cookieless analytics runs without an acceptance prompt. You can turn it off through Analytics preferences below; we store only that preference to remember your choice. A previous Decline choice is still respected, as are supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Turning analytics off stops new PostHog collection in this browser, but does not automatically delete data already sent. The migration removes this project’s old locally stored tracking identifiers; any earlier data already sent remains separate.
What this setup excludes
We exclude admin activity and automatic tracking on account, consent and checkout screens. Unless analytics is turned off, checkout can send limited step events such as an order being created, without player or order identifiers. We redact sensitive fields and remove URL query strings. We do not intentionally collect passwords, payment-card details, email addresses, wallet addresses, or the text you enter into search and form fields through PostHog.
Existing site analytics
MineX also operates self-hosted Umami analytics for aggregate website statistics. The PostHog choice above controls the additional PostHog service. Essential login, security, transaction processing and server logs operate separately.
